YouCan fundraising - supporting young cancer patients

Sony Foundation's do an amazing job supporting young cancer patients.

StrathAyr were proud to be involved with  the River4Ward luncheon  which raised more than $360,000 which goes towards building  a specialised Youth Cancer Centre at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne.

This centre aims to close the gap in care that currently exists for 16-25 year olds with cancer.

The work that Sony Foundation do across Australia in raising money to help build these centres is inspiring.

The ordeal that these young people go through is traumatic.  To  provide a facility dedicated to keeping  these young adults together and helping each other go through this ordeal is so important.

Supported by small and corporate businesses, media and sporting identities and very comitted Embassadors including Nat Bassingthwaighte and Jessic Mauboy  River4Ward Melbourne  event  was a great platform to continue thier fundrasing for the Melbourne centre .

StrathAyr was able to bring a "touch of grass" to Southbank for the day and we are so  happy to contribute in some small way to help make the day such a success
