StrathAyr has been providing turf to golf courses, cricket, tennis and bowls, for many years. The selection of the grass type requires the careful consideration of many factors including usage expectation, irrigation facilities and prevailing climatic conditions. StrathAyr prides itself on providing the best possible advice and service by ensuring the right turf type is provided.

Golf

Legend is the Couch Grass of choice for many Superintendents at all levels of golf course maintenance around Australia from one man shows in regional areas to the very top of the golfing pyramid.

Bentgrasses are provided from our Tasmanian farm. The bent is washed, packed with ice and shipped around Australia. We currently grow PENN G2 and a mixture of Pennlinks and SR 1019.

Cricket

Legend has been used extensively on cricket wickets around Australia since 1993. Cricket Victoria provides Legend to cricket venues around Melbourne as part of their Cricket Wicket Improvement Program.

Legend and other turf varieties are regularly provided for outfield areas.

Tennis

Legend is in play at numerous tennis courts including Kooyong Lawn Tennis Club and Royal South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club in Victoria.

StrathAyr’s Portable Davis Cup Tennis Court with Legend couch grass has been used in several Davis Cup ties including two finals.
